Both, boost and buzz! Yep, Brands like Sparks, Tilt, and Budweiser Extra have caffeine and ginseng for energy but they also can contain up to 7 percent alcohol. That’s higher than a can of beer. The question is, how are these drinks regulated? Some people aren’t even aware these energy drinks have alcohol already added. Keep reading to find out more.

It’s no secret that energy drinks are really popular among teens. But, we’re guessing a lot of parents out there don’t know that there’s a whole new crop of energy drinks that don’t just give you a boost. They can also give you a buzz.

They drinks are easy to find, and it turns out, easy to get for anybody.

Some brands of energy drinks now contain up to 7 percent alcohol. That’s higher than a can of beer. The question is, how are these drinks regulated? Georgia authorities have gone undercover cracking down on sales to minors.

Red Bull gives you wings, Monster unleashes the beast inside you, Amp can make you as fast as Dale Earnhardt Jr,. and now, energy drinks can even get you buzzed.

Brands like Sparks, Tilt, and Budweiser Extra have caffeine and ginseng for energy but they also can contain up to 7 percent alcohol. Some people aren’t even aware these energy drinks have alcohol already added.

“No, I just know they’re both energy drinks,” one mother said.

“I did not know that. I would not have known that was alcoholic,” another said.
